La station de transfert d'énergie par pompage (STEP)
The EDF power plant
Hydraulic Operating Group
Since 1976, when it was commissioned, the Revin-Saint-Nicolas Pumped Energy Transfer station has produced clean and renewable energy. Flexibility and performance are the strengths of this station which, in two minutes, and by decision of the Nancy control station, can make 800 MW available to the Very High Voltage network in the event of failure of a large conventional power station. The EDF Hydraulic Operations Group of Revin-Saint-Nicolas (GEH) relies on the professionalism of its 30 operating and maintenance agents to constantly improve the adaptation of production to the consumption of its customers. It thus contributes to the supply of quality energy as part of its Public Service mission.
An environment conducive to walking: marked footpaths around the basins (whitaker basin; marquisades basin)
