Hello everyone, today let's discover the history and architecture of the Haybes war memorial . This monument, in the heart of the village, reflects the horrific tragedy that made the town of Haybes a martyr city of the Great War.

Tragically, during this disaster, 596 houses were destroyed by fire and 70 people were massacred, including soldiers and civilians, some of whom were children. Furthermore, 73 soldiers from the town lost their lives during the war.

In October 1926 , the war memorial in Haybes was inaugurated, featuring a triumphal arch made of white French stone and the list of the town's victims inscribed upon it.
