Nichet cave
What is nice with the caves is that you can just as easily visit them in a big "dodger" to refresh yourself as in rainy weather to shelter you. The Nichet cave is located in Fromelennes, very close to the town of Givet in the north of the Ardennes. During a guided tour, you will discover about ten rooms that make up the underground passages, such as the skeleton room, the lovers' room and the lion room.
This visit also takes you to meet the Nutons, little imaginary characters, who are endowed with marvelous powers, the fruit of an Ardennes legend. With its 35 meters deep and its average temperature of 10°C, bring a little wool and good shoes to climb the series of steps that await you at the end of the visit.
Rivéa water park
Just because it's raining doesn't mean you can't take a dip, quite the contrary. Especially when you have a large aquatic and fun complex at your disposal. Whether it's raining or snowing, in summer or winter, the Rivéa water park, located in Givet, is THE ideal place to recharge your batteries, relax or simply have fun.
A real leisure complex with an ultra-trendy fitness area including a balneotherapy area, a huge swimming pool offering equipment that is both fun and sporty, a cafeteria and a bowling alley. All protected from bad weather for year-round enjoyment.
Saint-Ermel Collegiate Church
Discover this magnificent collegiate church which was founded in 752 by Dame Ada, under the protection of Pépin le Bref. It has a series of funerary slabs, decor and furniture representative of the Italian Renaissance, admirable polychrome wooden statues from the 1963th century and a XNUMXth century altarpiece which adorn the building. Listed as a historical monument in XNUMX. History has it that Pépin le Bref was buried under the primitive church. The pre-Romanesque crypt is a magnificent example of Carolingian architecture. Believe me it is really worth the detour!
