A la découverte de Buzancy
This circuit is a summary of the historical and heritage treasures of the charming village of Buzancy.

Description
The short version of the circuit is 3,5 km long and does not pass directly near the Samaritaine lake.
The long version of the circuit is 5 km long and takes in both the heart of the town and the surroundings of the Samaritaine lake.
Park in the Proxy de Buzancy car park, Rue Dom Mabillon or at the Samaritaine campsite, Avenue du Parc, in Buzancy.
The circuit is marked on the ground using visible stencils in the colors of the municipality.
(D/A) (1) From the Proxy car park, go past the sign and head left towards the church. At the start is information panel no. 1.
(2) At the entrance to the garden in front of the church, there is sign #2 and sign #3. Then go down towards the church (sign #4). Take the stairs to enter the church.
Then take a small alleyway to the right of the historic monument called Chemin du Château de la Cour. Continue straight on to the cemetery.
(3) Before entering the cemetery, see sign #5. Cross the cemetery and exit through the small gate on the other side. Turn right onto Rue du Mahomet. A sign #6 dedicated to the legend of Mahomet is available.
(4) Walk along this street, then go back and forth on the right to the Château de la Cour or Château Chanzy (sign no. 7 tells its story).
(5) Return to Rue du Mahomet and continue right until a crossroads with Rue du Charme.
(6) Go down this street to the right.
(7) Turn right again and pass in front of the lion gate of Château Chanzy. Reach Place Napoléon III.
(8) Cross the road intersection towards sign no. 8 at the Maison de l'Octroi.
Continue straight on Rue des Barrières. At the intersection (D6), cross straight into Ruelle du château.
(9) Arrive at the level of the outbuildings of the old Château Augeard (sign no. 9), walk around the grounds before returning and continuing on the small grassy path.
(10) A second panel n°9 on the history of the castle is available here. At the crossroads before the Samaritaine lake, two possibilities:
– turn right to go back up towards the village (short version 3,5 km).
– continue straight on the grassy path which runs alongside the lake (long version 5 km) to the Camping de la Samaritaine.
(11) At the entrance to the campsite, turn right onto Avenue du Parc which is lined with trees and go up the avenue to the junction of the short circuit.
(12) Continue along Allée des Étangs. Then turn right towards the square.
(13) Turn left onto the D947, pass in front of the town hall and reach the centre of the main square to take advantage of sign no. 10. Then go back up towards the church.
(1) Continue straight ahead, in the opposite direction to the outward journey, and find the Proxy further on.
