What to do with children in Val d'Ardenne

This is probably one of the questions that comes up most often in our reception points: what to do with children, are there activities to do with children in your area? The answer is probably longer than you think.

The main attraction of the Ardennes Valley is undoubtedly its nature, the forest, and the Meuse Valley. There are numerous marked trails for walking and cycling , including many short routes perfect for little legs. The greenway also provides access for longer walks with a stroller.

The Meuse, the river that crosses our entire territory, also allows you to go for a ride, either by pedal boat or electric boat , and offers you a unique view of the valley.

If a simple walk isn't enough, there are several scavenger hunts to challenge children. The Aubrives brewery offers an outdoor scavenger hunt that lets you discover the village and the neighboring village of Hierges. The tourist office also offers four scavenger hunts that allow you to explore the towns of Givet, Hierges, Vireux, and Fumay. Remember to bring a pencil to note down clues and solve the riddles.

Touristic and leisure places

Charlemont invites you to several activities within the ramparts of the fortress, such as laser game, a tour with a game or even the little train which allows you to discover the entire fort.
Terraltitude As for it, it allows you to try tree climbing and welcomes the little ones in its "nuton wood", a play area specially designed for them.
Rocheteau Park in Revin, in addition to offering you a space to relax among rare tree species, invites you to a game of mini golf.

What if it rains?

Because it sometimes rains in the Ardennes Valley, indoor activities are not forgotten. The Nichet cave is an ideal shelter, which also serves as a cool spot in the summer. The slate museum , as well as activities such as swimming pools , bowling , or even the Le Manège cinema in Givet, welcome you.

If your children are still not tired after that, there are still the various playgrounds to allow them to let off steam. They can be found in almost all the municipalities of the Val d'Ardenne and they are easily accessible, often located on village squares or in public gardens.
