What to do with children in Val d'Ardenne

This is probably one of the questions that comes up most often in our reception points: what to do with children, are there activities to do with children in your area? The answer is probably longer than you think.

The main attraction of the Val d'Ardenne is undoubtedly nature, the forest, and the Meuse valley. There are many marked circuits to do Strolling along ou on a bike, including many short distances for little legs. The green track also allows access to long walks with a stroller.

The Meuse, the river that crosses our entire territory, also allows you to go for a walk, either in pedalo, either electric boat, and offers you a unique view of the valley.

If a simple walk is not enough, there are several treasure hunts that can challenge children. The Aubrives brewery offers you the outdoors, which will help you discover the village and the neighboring village (Hierges). The tourist office also offers you 4 treasure hunts, which allow you to discover the towns of Givet, Hierges, Vireux or Fumay. Remember to take a pencil to note the clues and solve the puzzles.

Touristic and leisure places

Charlemont invites you to several activities within the ramparts of the fortress, such as laser game, a tour with a game or even the little train which allows you to discover the entire fort.
Terraltitude It allows you to try your hand at tree climbing and welcomes the little ones in its “bois des nutons”, a play area specially designed for them.
Rocheteau Park in Revin, in addition to offering you a space to relax among rare tree species, invites you to a game of mini golf.

What if it rains?

Because sometimes it rains in the Val d'Ardenne, indoor activities are not left out. Nichet Cave is an ideal shelter, which also serves as a cool spot in summer, the slate museum, but also activities such as the pools, bowling or, Le Manège cinema in Givet open their doors to you.

If your children are still not tired after that, there are still the various playgrounds to allow them to let off steam. They can be found in almost all the municipalities of the Val d'Ardenne and they are easily accessible, often located on village squares or in public gardens.
