La voûte
The vault runs from the level crossing in the direction of Orzy to the lock in the direction of Fumay.
Construction began in 1870 and finished in 1876

The underground measures 224,50 meters and has a waiting area outside, and another downstream which is upstream of the lock.
The navigation rectangle of the underground is 7 m wide and 2,68 m high.
The vault is 7,92m high and has a main radius of 8,85m, it is built of rock and brick
The entrance and exit are equipped with traffic lights and signs.
The underground is equipped with a detector and surveillance by human means using a manager who can be alerted either by remote surveillance (1 camera at each entrance) or by telephone.
