Route details
Description
1/ From the Maison Espagnole, walk along the quays of the Meuse, pass under the bridge and take rue Michelet. Turn right twice to cross the Fumay bridge, then follow rue de Falières on the left along the Meuse.
2/ Continue straight at the fork (return path), then take the forest path on the right. It overlooks the Falières valley, then rises in the forest in a wide bend.
3/ At the Gros Chêne intersection, turn left and arrive in an open quarry. Turn right and follow the wide forest path (panoramic viewpoint). Go left and continue along the chemin des Crêtes.
4/ Leave the path and go left. At the intersection, turn right, follow the path that overlooks the Meuse valley, then pass through a succession of fir forests.
5/ Take a section of the Bois-Bryas forest road (strategic road during the last war because it allowed a junction with the Rocroi plateau and opened up the town of Revin by the left bank of the Meuse) which descends in one big shoelace.
6/ Take the path to the right (panoramic view), then the one that goes down to the left and find the Meuse valley.
2/ By the route taken on the outward journey, reach the starting point.
