Sail on the Meuse with Charlemagne cruises!
Since the beginning of April, the Charlemagne cruises resumed for the new season! Managed by the Val d'Ardenne tourist office, Croisières Charlemagne offers classic cruises of approximately 2 hours, musical getaways and meal cruises to provide you with a moment of relaxation and entertainment.
For my part, I tested, here are my feedback.
The relaxation cruise
Let's discover: the discovery cruise of the reach of Given and its surroundings. We sail towards the Trois Fontaines lock and pass in front of the ramparts of the citadel of Givet and the Pierres Bleues quarries.
This is another way to see the fortifications of the Citadel and the length of these. Once you arrive near the lock, turn around towards the port of Givet. The Grégoire tower, the Saint-Hilaire and Notre-Dame churches, the American bridge… are part of the architectural and historical heritage of Givet that I take pleasure in seeing all along the route.

You discover Givet in a different way by sailing on the Meuse.
I advise you to sit at the back of the boat to enjoy the cool breeze of the cruise. It's really pleasant and you can eat and have a drink on board while admiring the landscapes.
Additional information
The boat is accessible for people with reduced mobility, so you are all welcome on the Charlemagne Cruises!
Meal and musical cruises
Other possible and occasional formula: musical getaways. These are 3 hour meal cruises with a musical performance during your cruise.

Several music groups have already had the honor of playing on the Charlemagne boat.
A 3-course formula is offered for the meal.
The Charlemagne boat can be privatized for all your events: birthdays, baptisms, weddings, seminars...
